COMING CLEAN ON SOMETHING DIRTY

0 Permalink

I need to come clean on something – I have never used a diaper pail. (See what I did there?)  I thought they made nurseries smell like poop with flowers sticking out of it.  Instead, I put dirty diapers in a small decorative trash bin for the day, then empty it in the big garbage at night.  And that worked real great….until it became summertime, I’d forget, and the combination of dirty diapers and heat became more than any of us could stand.  Even my 2 year old would shout “Ooo Mommy it stinks in here!” Sorry dude, start pooping on the potty and we wouldn’t have this issue. When the brand new Diaper Genie Expressions showed up at my door I thought, perfect timing.  I was willing to take a flower-poop smell over a forgotten-in-a-hot-room-poop smell any day.  You know what? It didn’t smell deodorized at all.  It didn’t smell like anything at all thanks to their new double-secure odor lock system.  And that’s exactly what you want coming out of a diaper pail: nothing.  It also holds up to 50 diapers, so it isn’t even a big deal when I forget to empty it.  This thing put my small decorative trash bin to shame.  The best part? It’s decorative, too! Playtex Baby just introduced the Expressions product in August so you can chose between 5 designer fabric sleeves that go over your pail and make it pretty.  My small “decorative” trash bin just got kicked to the curb, for good.

With that dimple and this diaper pail, he can be in diapers for as long as he wants…
