If you don’t eat dairy stop reading right now, do not pass Go and do not collect $100 dollars. This post is for my hardcore dairy lovers. Man I love dairy. I love butter and sour cream. I love cheese in any form. Did you know melted muenster cheese slices on a plate is great for a hangover? Don’t knock it ’till you try it. If I had to pick just one dairy product to eat for the rest of my life you know what it would be? Cottage cheese. I’m dead serious. There is just something about the texture and mild flavor that satisfies a craving. The best thing about cottage cheese is that it always fills me up without making me feel bloated (like, go-figure, my melted muenster on a plate will often leave me feeling.) When Munna arrived on my doorstep claiming to be ridiculously creamy I thought this had to be fate.
(How did they know? I don’t think I’ve ever told anyone about my love of cottage cheese. Are they like the Tyler Henry of dairy products? Did they watch me put down that entire tub yesterday?)
I immediately broke into the package and haven’t stopped consuming every day since. I had been buying store brand cottage cheese for years and never knew what I was missing!
Did you know Cottage cheese is recommended for athletes and pregnant women? There’s not too many things that overlap those two groups but leave it to cottage cheese, eh? It’s loaded with protein – Muuna’s premium fruit-on-the-bottom flavors each have 130 calories and 15g protein per 5.3oz container and their Lowfat Plain has 120 calories with 19g of protein per 5.3oz container.
Cottage cheese gets a bad rap. I mean it is the term we use to describe the unflattering part of our under thighs and it is technically curdled milk. But look, if it was good enough for Miss Muffet, it’s good enough for me. Pass the Muuna, please…this stuff is delicious.

Muuna cottage cheese is available on the shelves of select Northeast regional retailers, including ShopRite in Rhode Island.
