Plum Print
“From messy piles to books with style”

I felt very differently about kid’s art projects once I had my own.¬† (Read about that here.)

Several months ago I was asked to go on CNN’s Power Pitch as an expert judge to give my opinion on this company that turns your child’s artwork into coffee table books. {See that segment, here.} ¬†I had to experience it first hand so I gathered up years of artwork and shipped¬†it off to Plum Print. ¬†When it came back as a coffee book¬†I was blown away with the quality. ¬†The art looks like it could jump right off the page. You can opt to get the original pieces back or not, customize the pages, and choose from a variety of sizes. ¬†The process was simple and seamless. ¬†Miss P. and I love going through the book at nighttime together; she asks questions about when she was a baby and I try not to cry as I turn each page.

Slightly nervous sending them off (but they came back perfectly)

Irish Fairy Door
“All you need to do is believe.”¬†

I found out¬†about this adorable product through a friend who is originally from¬†Ireland. ¬†A beautifully crafted wooden fairy door comes to your house with a tiny key and stepping stones. ¬†Pick a special place and leave the key out for your fairy. ¬†If the key is gone in the morning, your fairy has come to live with you! ¬†Miss P. named ours “Fairywinkles” and we check¬†every couple days to see if she’s left a note with her tiny handwriting. ¬†One time she reminded us that she’s always near by so there’s no need to wake Mommy up in the middle of the night. (Ahem) ¬†Fairywinkles even hung her clothes out to dry one week ¬†(clothes, a line, & clothes pins sold separately.) ¬†I promise you will have a blast with this. ¬†A little funny foot note:¬†we have cleaning people that come every other week to help us stay ahead of the bacteria pile that can be our home. No seriously I have an ant crawling up my legs as I type this. ¬†The stepping stones were gone after they left one day so I called to ask if they were accidentally vacuumed up or put somewhere else. ¬†I wish you could have all been flies on the wall during this conversation with someone who spoke very little English. ¬†“No, fairies like the ones that fly. ¬†Just pretend. Not real. Lives in our wall. ¬†Yes, stones like rocks. No not socks. And so on.)

Remember to check out their website,¬†you can do things like register your fairy, read fairy FAQ’s, and download the Magical Matters App. and please tell them Misadventures in Mommyhood sent you (…because I love them over there!)

Mixed Pears
“Real Food. ¬†Really Fast. ¬†Cut Food to The Right Bite.”¬†

This month I attended the New York Baby Shower as GB CHILD USA‘s guest. ¬†I met a lot of great Moms and Dads and loved showing off the beautiful new strollers in their line. ¬†I also got to walk the show beforehand and found this magical, miracle product: food cutting scissors that cut real food down to the right size. ¬†The “right size” is the size recommended by the AAP as safest for young children to reduce choking; something we are ALWAYS concerned about. Best part? ¬†You can do it one-handed so your other hand is free to hold a crying (and hungry) child. ¬†Here I am falling in love…

Charles River Apparel
“The GolfFather”

Father’s Day is around the corner which means payback for the 4 hours we took on Mother’s Day is upon us. ¬†I’m going to assume that many a golf game will be played (good thing that only takes up …. oh wait, the WHOLE DAY.) Make ’em look good¬†in Charles River Apparel’s new color-blocked Wicking Polo¬†or the Pack N Go¬†pullover¬†both of which can be purchased here on Amazon. Want one of either? (The product not the men.) Comment on this post why your¬†husband should win and we’ll¬†send the shirt of your choice to one lucky Dad.
