You guys. It’s eggnog season. You either love it or you don’t and I love it. I’m an eggnogaholic. I treat it like I do Pumpkin Spice lattes—they are only around for a limited time so indulge in it while you can. (Related, if you agree with me, the Pumpkin Flavored eggnog may blow your mind.) When I walk down the grocery store and see it standing there in all its glory it’s like a trigger for me: “A-ha! It’s Holiday time!” (Guess who’s back? Back again…).
There’s another person in my family who loves eggnog too and lately I’ve coined the
dorky phrase: “Hey, don’t hog my nog.” But limited time treats get front row seats in our refrigerator, so I don’t blame him for dabbling.
It’s a fun little tradition to look forward to; and there’s only one brand I trust to buy in the eggnog department: Hood. Did you know Hood’s Golden Eggnog recipe has been a secret for more than 50 years!? But hey, as long as they keep blending extra creamy milk with sugared yolks and spices I’ll keep buying it. How many things do you know of that can be taken straight, in a drink, spiked, or even baked with? Leave it to Eggnog. Hood is a New England company. Want to know what else hails from New England (besides dominating sports teams?) Cranberries. Stay tuned to see how I take two of these hometown favorites and turn them into something delicious with help from my favorite little chefs!
