There are so many reasons to love summer. Mostly, the experience from camps my kid get thrills me. Decker asked about it the other day – why do we go to so many camps in the summer? I jumped at the chance to explain to him that all year long you sit and listen to a teacher but at camp you get to learn using hands-on experiences! Some of the summer camp themes the kids are participating in are – theater camp (Thayer), farm camp (Holly Hill), horseback riding camp (River Wind Farm), chess camp, recreation camp, hockey camp (Hockey Plus!), and “camp Vovo and Grandpy Joe” in the big city. The rest of the time we will be spending in our backyard and on the beach (now that the rain has died down!)
2 quick summer product faves we are currently enjoying: If you live anywhere near the water check out these kid kayaks, they are a blast and easy to transport. Also, Bolaball sent us a corn hole set and we are loving it! It even came in handy for Paigely’s end-of-year school party when the rain forced us indoors. It transports easily too, with the bean bags being stored inside.
We are off to Ocean City, NJ for the 4th to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I grew up vacationing there! Please send recommendations if you have any! Catch me on social. I hope you all have a fabulous start to summer and soak it all in!
Psst: Did you see it? I was voted one of Boston’s top blogs check out the article here.
