You guys know I’m a sucker for products that are invented by a Mom (wow-wee that pun was so intended. I just changed the title.) I like products developed by Moms because they know exactly what kids need. Melissa Evans, a mom of 4 and a health coach, couldn’t think of anything that would “Eez” (get it?) her child’s throat when it was sore because let’s be honest – cough drops are a scary choking hazard. She came up with Lolleez, an organic, worry-free, throat soothing lollipops for kids. What kid says no to a lollipop? I’ve never met one, myself. She figured out a simple solution to a simple problem. Sounds just like a Mom to me! Bravo, Melissa.
The weather in New England can be a fickle bitch, especially in April. Last week we went from freezing cold temperatures to a 70 degree day. I’m not complaining about the latter but going from one extreme to the next can wreck havoc on immune systems. You know what else happens in April? The trees start to bud and the flowers appear; all wonderful things unless you have a child with allergies. The other day my son complained of a sore throat. “Shoot” I thought, the dreaded allergy season starts to rear it’s ugly hea – er…throat. I never know what to give him for the scratch he feels in the back of his throat. I typically resort to a spoonful of honey which relief lasts all of the 4 seconds it takes to wash it down. “Wait!” I remembered the media kit I received from Lolleez, “I may have just the thing!” When I gave him the lollipop to try he looked confused then his eyes got wide: “You’re letting me have a lolly in the morning, Mommy?!” “Yes I am!” I replied excitedly “Because Lolleez are made from USDA Certified Organic ingredients that you can pronounce and understand, like organic honey and natural fruit pectin!” Naturally he ignored that last part and returned playing with his sister, happy has a clam. “They are also gluten, dairy, and nut-free in case you were wondering” I said to myself smiling and wondering if they realized how weird their blogging Mother really was….
I’m also a sucker for Lolleez because they are flat and on a stick which make them a much safer alternative to those round ball lollipops. They come in Watermelon, Strawberry, and Orange Mango because let’s be honest – Cherry and Grape remind us all of yucky medicines. You can buy them at Target in a variety pack for $6.99 or… wait for it… you can win a prize pack here! Simply write “I’m a sucker” and tag the Lolleez page under this post in Facebook and you’ll be entered to win. Lolleez: A little fun, and a lot of relief!
