I had the pleasure of sitting down with Ski Bradford during one of their (very cozy) Fireside Chats to talk about the benefit of skiing with kids. I grew up skiing with my family. I have such fond memories of weekends at our local ski resort. It was a small family hill perfect for parents with young kids. I grew up on that mountain. Ski Bradford reminded me a lot of my hometown hill…small and manageable with enough room to feel independent away from Mom and Dad as we got older. Hubby and I love skiing with the kids because it’s a great way to spend time together while getting exercise outside in the Winter up here in the NorthEast. It’s so much fun watching your kids sip hot chocolate with bright rosy cheeks inside a ski lodge! I’m 8.5 months pregnant now and last weekend was my last time skiing for the season. (They don’t make maternity ski pants and mine are hanging on by a butt thread.) I got a lot of crazy looks but in reality I can ski better than I can walk these days. I only skied the easy mountain and made sure to go super slow with my 5 year old. I’m not very good at missing out…and I’ll never forget the chairlift memories we made together.
