TALES FROM DAYCARE: Why does this sound like my college experience?

1 Permalink

Little Miss P goes to a daycare in Boston called Bright Horizons.  I know it sounds like the name of a rehab but they are very good and I highly recommend them.  Teachers fill out “Infant Daily Sheets” that you get every time you pick your child up.  They are amazing and I would be lost without them.  They tell me how much she drank down to the ounce, how
long
she’s slept, when she peed, when she
pooped, and what the poop looked like.  I am a control freak and need this kind of attention to detail.  At the bottom of the sheet they leave notes about her
day.  I swear you could Insert “Kristin” instead of “P” and it
pretty much sums up my entire college experience:

“P finished her drink in no time and then partied all morning.”

“P looked at herself in the mirror for hours today.”

“P loves the kitchen.  She knows exactly where the snacks are located.”

“P had a little too much to drink and threw up on her pretty new shirt.”

“Oh no!  P backed herself into a corner and couldn’t get out!”

“P showed off her pretty dress today by strutting around the room.”

“P loves to dance to every type of music and did a belly dance before lunch.”

“P had a blast when she discovered that she could do chin-ups on everything she sees.”

“P decided to drink, roll, and sleep today.”

“P did sit-ups in bed and then fell asleep sitting up.”

“P
threw the neon green scarf in the air, did a dance with it, and then
tried to shove the whole thing in her mouth.  She should be in movies.”
