SMELL, TASTE, LOOK, ALL THE THINGS: KEEP UP!

1 Permalink

Here it is, the next run down of the things I’m doing, places I’m going, and products I’m loving: Keep Up With Kristin!

Summer has already began which means I had to find a way to dress up my daily uniform of a maxi dress and flip flops.  Check out this bracelet line I stumbled upon then fell head over heels over.  (No really I was tipsy and tripped over my friend who was wearing one.)

They are super cute, make a statement, and extremely well made. And how cute is this net packaging? I sent one to my sister for her birthday and scored 3 for myself.

I was feeling particular “Nauti” in this Instagram picture on my way to Nantucket…Speaking of which! Our annual trip to Nantucket was a ton of fun.

Husband is holding my new favorite summer shoes for kids by NativeThey are waterproof, super supportive, and in my opinion cuter than Crocs (plus the blue ones light up in the dark which was fun little second discovery.)

Now that I am following every possible Nantucket vendor on Instagram I have FOMO like a MOFO.  Do you know what I dread about coming back from vacation other than the aforementioned FOMO? Having no food in the house!  Thank goodness the FOODERY came to my rescue…unnamed1You can order your meals with no commitment or sign-up and they will deliver them to the Greater Boston area for the week ($50 minimum.) I have to admit something here – I am not typically a fan of leftovers or reheated food in general, so I was a little nervous about how it would taste.  Let’s just say they put my cooking to shame.  Everything is made from scratch using only local and organic produce with ingredients you know printed right on the cover.

unnamed3  My favorite was the Japanese soba noodles and the King Ranch chicken casserole. Great, now I’m hungry…

Hubby: “This meal is fabulous, great job.” Me: Smiles.

I know, I know – omitting is the cousin of lying.

Thanks for making me look good, guys.  The only thing I had to worry about was throwing away the containers.  Speaking of which! Something about summer and smelly garbage, am I right?  My garage is a scary and stinky place come June.  I guess it doesn’t help that we keep a weeks worth of trash in there.  If there’s one thing I miss about city living it was free curbside bi-weekly garbage pick up.  I just started using Fresh Wave deodorizers to ward off raunchy smells like old food and diapers that linger in the warm air. And I’m no longer hungry…
freshwave1 I am not a fan of “covering up” stinky smells with fake perfumes. Smells like “Hawaiian Breeze” make me want to puke and sneeze which is really a terrible combination.  What I love about Fresh Wave is that they remove odors without harsh chemicals; just naturally good smelling stuff like lime, pine needle, aniseed, and clove. It actually works! I even stuck a couple of these in our mudroom where I swear 40 pairs of shoes look like they just got back from a dance rave on a beach: lollipop sticks, dirt, sweat, sand…

Lastly, the pictures came back from Paigely’s photoshoot for Tiny Hanger with TuTu Du Monde and the cover shot of this blog (with the strawberry) was one of my favorites in addition to these:

The things I’m not looking forward to:

  • Potty Training

But check out this nifty gadget called the “Illumibowl” I recently found in my search for products. I need this for myself!

In all the things,
