Have you ever tried to fling a soft sheep at a velcro cloud? It’s kinda fun. But looking at the intensity in their eyes you would have thought they were trying to figure out E=MC2.
Isn’t that what is so great about kids, though? They are hard-wired with a passion for learning new things. And it’s our role as parents to foster and grow this passion.
The best gift our parents ever gave us was covering the cost of our college tuitions. When I graduated I was given a fresh start, with no loans. That fresh start helped me begin my career by earning money to support myself; instead of having to pay back an institution thus creating more debt. It’s something I’ll never fully be able to express my gratitude for, and why I’ve loved partnering with MEFA and Fidelity on the U.Fund Dreams Tour. Through this partnership I’ve been able to give back the knowledge to young families. I hope I’ve been able to stress the importance of saving when your children are young (like, in utereo young!) for a college education. If you start now, you’ll be well on your way to covering the costs of an in-state 4 year degree (which is expected to be around $174, 458* with room and board in the year 2029, the year Miss P. will be headed to college!) Here are some of the highlights from our pit-stop at the U.Fund Dreams Tour tent at the Falmouth Road Race this weekend:
