Last week I co-hosted a fun screening of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s second season to celebrate the partnership of Amazon Prime and Xfinity. What’s better than Amazon Prime? Not much…unless it’s Amazon Prime partnering with Comcast’s Xfinity X1, giving millions of people access to a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience that now features seamless access to award-winning Prime Video originals, thousands of premium shows, movies, and live events right alongside all of the live, on demand and web programming included with an Xfinity TV subscription. That’s a mouthful, and it tastes delicious. Don’t you love it when two of your favorite companies team up and join forces?
I was responsible for getting some of my favorite family/mommy/lifestyle bloggers there in the area and what with the free food, free drinks, candy bar, amazing viewing area, and the adult conversation – who could say no? They thanked me publicly and I thought that was such a classy move. I wouldn’t expect less from this team though; I simply adore my Comcast people.
With Amazon Prime Video integrated into the X1 guide, customers can easily browse the Prime Video catalog on Xfinity on Demand including Prime Originals like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (I’m a new fan!) Homecoming, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, The Man in the High Castle, Bosch, The Grand Tour, Catastrophe, Forever, The Big Sick and Manchester by the Sea along with Prime Kids Originals such as Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny, Pete The Cat, Tumble Leaf, Just Add Magic, Lost in Oz and The Stinky & Dirty Show. Customers can catch up on recent hits or relive timeless favorites including The Expanse, Downton Abbey, Suits,Vikings, Sons of Anarchy, The Americans, Victoria, House, Friday Night Lights, Monk, Spongebob Squarepants and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. Does any of this hit home for you? (See what I did there.)
One of my favorite features of X1 will forever be the voice remote. A friend of mine told me she answered her door the other day and it was a man selling Fios. My first was – how intrusive and annoying – but she switched from Comcast to Fios! I told her we couldn’t be friends anymore. Just kidding, I knew she’d come back. Two weeks later I asked how it was going. She told me she already switched because she could not deal without that voice remote (among other things.) I guess I’m not the only one. Before I leave you I want to share one more personal story – I called the company and told them our bill was too high. One call later and we reduced our bill significantly without giving up anything noticeable. Fabulous customer service. Comcast, you’ve got a friend for life.
Oh and Psst….Comcast is the ONLY platform that now has YouTube, On Demand, Netflix AND Amazon Prime. I like my friends with benefits.
