I’m back to work (as much as being home with 3 humans and a
dog pony allow for and was very excited to hear from one of my favorites: Comcast New England. They wanted me to host a virtual event and at first I thought, great, yet another virtual event. Then I remembered, Comcast New England never does anything basic. So they shipped us all a Drizly order and not only wow’ed us with a new product presentation, they blew us all away with an expanded commitment to Diversity and Inclusion in response to the recent, horrific events.
So, want to know why I love this company? Let me count the ways:
Reason #1: When they get behind something, they mean it. From something small like this virtual party complete with PJ’s and delivered cocktails to something huge like the announcement of a $100 million multiyear plan to advance social justice and equality. You can read more about that, here.
Reason #2: They just get it. Of course they introduced a new platform that features not only the recent classics like The Office (best show) but throw- backs like Law & Order: SVU, 30 Rock, Friday Night Lights, Saved By The Bell (“I’m so excited”), Jurassic Park, E.T., Punky Brewster, He-Man, Care Bares, Curious George and the original animated series Where’s Waldo? My kids are LOVING “Get Out Of My Room” a kid’s room makeover show. PEACOCK is available for free to all Xfinity customers. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you should!
Reason #3: Service. “Hello Comcast? It’s me, Kristin.” And they are on it, no matter what the issue (full disclosure the issue is typically me). They have come out for so many user error issues it’s somewhat embarrassing, but they keep coming back and every time with a smile. I have heard countless stories about the competition knocking on doors offering a better price but 9 times out of 10 those people always end up switching back to Comcast because the service (and content) is second to none. “You can get with this, or you can get with that…but Comcast is truly where it’s at.” (Sorry, couldn’t help myself!)
What a fun night, I can’t wait to do it again, and I’m very proud to call Comcast New England a MIM partner for life.
